https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696805 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696805#c0 Summary: proxy settings in /etc/sysconfig/proxy read even when disabled Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dimstar@opensuse.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Updated today to Factory snapshot, received those zypp packages: Now, zypper tries to connect to the proxy specified in /etc/sysconfig/proxy, even though PROXY_ENABLED="no" is set in this file. If this is the case, it must not be used. BTW: Wasn't there intentionally a libproxy module written for this usecase? We carry a patch in it to read sysconfig/proxy Please rely on libproxy and stop parsing this file on your own. There is really no need to implement the same things in more than one place. Having it in libproxy only will give us an easy way to even extend it further, like PAC file parsing and wpad support for example (just as a side note) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
