http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1022674 Bug ID: 1022674 Summary: Kingston 8 Gb USB flash drives misidentified as internal drives in Leap 42.2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: dimesio@earthlink.net QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 712167 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=712167&action=edit Output of udisksctl monitor from attaching the two misidentified flash drives I have a fresh install of Leap 42.2, using KDE. I also still have installs of 13.1 and Leap 42.1 on the same system. I have several USB flash drives. They are various makes and sizes, but all are formatted FAT32 and all are correctly detected by the device notifier in 13.1 and Leap 42.1 and can be mounted in the device notifier without a root password. In Leap 42.2, while most of the flash drives work as expected, two of them are not detected by device notifier. According to udisksctl monitor, they are detected as internal drives. They can be mounted/unmounted as hard drives with the mount command. Both of the misidentified drives are Kingston 8 Gb, formatted as FAT32, though one is USB 2 and the other USB 3. The problem occurs regardless of which USB port I attach them to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
