On this NIS server, I have a hosts file, where a lot of my hosts are defined. I have the following hosts defined : 10.xx.xx.xx computername.domain.be computername 10.xx.xx.xx computername2.domain.be computername2.domain.ac.be computername2 The following strange things happen : ping computername -> Works ping computername2 -> Works telnet computername -> Works telnet computername2 -> Does not work!!! The only thing I get is 'Aborted' ssh computername -> Works ssh computername2 -> Does not work!!! The only thing I get is 'Aborted' There is a disk exported on computername2 using NIS. This works fine.
