Using Opensuse 10.3 with KDE 3.5.xx incorrect back / forward arrows are shown which do not match system theme. On investigation this is caused by the default QTcurve that ships with Opensuse QTCurve 0.52.3-31 gtk & kde Updating to latest QTcurve 0.58.xx corrects this problem. However, only qtcurve avalable update is to either compile yourself or to download from "pantsgolem" repo. Pantsgolem download fixes firefox issue but breaks QTCurve configure dialogue.
