Frankly, if I ask zypper
- to remove a package and the package is not installed
- to install a package and it is installed
- or to update it but the latest version is already installed
I don't want to get an error. At the end the systems content is as I wanted it
to be. No matter if zypper had to do something to achieve this or not.
As zyppers focus is not an automated test. I'd say you should e.g. query the
installed version before and after the tcommand, or check
/var/log/zypp/history, to see whether install/delete entries were appended.
