The following quick-and-dirty OpenAFS+krb5 installation description may be of
help to some folks desperate to get OpenAFS up and running under openSuSE 10.2.
Some knowledge of bash and patch helps in applying the following.
This is just an installation hint. No responsibility is taken for the results
of the application of this hint.
To build OpenAFS under openSuSE 10.2 with kerberos authentication, download
from http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/mge1512/openSUSE_10.2/ the
following files:
- openafs_default-1.4.2-20061225.1.src.rpm
- afs-krb5-2.0-22.1.src.rpm
- km_afs_default-1.4.2-20061225.1.i586.rpm

# Install with yast2:
#
yast2 --install openafs_default-1.4.2-20061225.1.src.rpm
yast2 --install afs-krb5-2.0-22.1.src.rpm
rpm -i km_afs_default-1.4.2-20061225.1.i586.rpm

# Prepare kernel for module build.
#
cd /usr/src/linux
make cloneconfig
make scripts
make modules_prepare
cd /usr/src/packages
#patch /usr/src/packages/SPECS/openafs_default.spec to compile w/o internal
kerberos support.
patch -l -p0 <
