https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845641 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845641#c0 Summary: Title: No edge scrolling in GNOME for some laptops Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: drhoo@pisem.net QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- On my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525) the touchpad doesn't scroll with right edge in GNOME, but does scroll in KDE. Tested in OS 13.1 RC1 with live USB sticks. That's because the Edge Scrolling is turned off in GNOME in favor of the Two Fingers Scrolling, which is not supported by some touchpads. And there is no option in g-c-c to turn on the Edge Scrolling. Many thanks to Bjørn Lie who pointed me to an upstrim bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=702858 and proposed a workaround: Install dconf-editor and change the value from there. org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.touchpad Set it to edge-scrolling -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
