https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=479088 Summary: Have to unplug and plug in Belkin usb network adapter after reboot from Windows XP Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ingesvensson@orion.vokby.se QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; sv-SE; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009012700 SUSE/3.0.6-0.1.2 Firefox/3.0.6 If I use driver 3.00.02 in Windows XP with Belkin K7SF5D7050B I can't get wireless network to work before I first unplugs the adapter and then plug it in again. I don't have this problem with Windows driver 3xxx, but it will not work when I have to upgrade to Windows Vista. Belkin unfortunatly tells me they don't give any support for Linux, but pointed to a driver at http://www.ralinktech.com.tw/data/drivers/2009_0206_RT73_Linux_STA_Drv1.1.0.... I've not tried this driver because I don't know if it's newer than the one used in openSUSE and I'm afraid of messing up my system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot into Windows XP with driver 3.00.02 2. Reboot (on turn of computer and start it) into openSUSE 11.1 Actual Results: wireless network doesn't work. Expected Results: wireless network should work -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
