https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247320 Summary: specify package version to install in zypper Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: mvidner@novell.com ReportedBy: marcio.ferreira@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de In current 10.2 zypper, one cannot specify which version of package one wants to install, as when you have a package being provided by more than one repository. Would be a good idea to let the user specify which he wants. The default behavior is to install the latest. For example: # zypper se audacity Returns: | 20070106-104537 | package | audacity | 1.3.2-0.pm.beta | i586 | http://mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/10.2/repo/oss/ | package | audacity | 1.2.4b-55 | i586 I would expect I could do something like: # zypper in audacity-1.2.4b-55 # zypper in audacity-1.3.2-0.pm.beta So one can specify the wanted version. Even with repo priorization, I think its valid to have this option. thats it -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
