Yet more experimental data: VESA framebuffer by itself is not VT-d friendly.
Xen has two modes of managing Domain-0 address space 'Strict' and 'Relaxed'.
VESA framebuffer definitely doesn't work with 'iommu=1,dom0-strict' which
effectively disables 1:1 memory mapping for privileged domain -- I see color
bars I have mentioned above when discussed about interaction of IOMMU with bare
Linux kernel.
Although it works fine with 'iommu=1'.
