https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240659 andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de ------- Comment #5 from andreas.hanke@gmx-topmail.de 2007-02-02 15:05 MST ------- You have to distinguish between 3 types of .la files: (1) .la files of shared libraries. Some people find these useful for dependency tracking. These should go into the -devel package. (2) .la files of loadable modules if the host application doesn't use libltdl. These are completely useless and should not be packaged at all, not even in the -devel package. (3) .la files of loadable modules if the host application uses libtldl. These are *required* and must be in the main package. As GraphicsMagick is of type (3), you won't be able to make it work without its la files unless you really want to patch it to not use libltdl. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
