Thank you all for your interest.
I have re-written the package selector with input from some members from the
community. I hope the interface will please you. ;)
If you'd like to give it a try, download it:
svn checkout http://svn.opensuse.org/svn/yast/trunk/gtk/unstable-libyui/
yast-gtk
Building instructions
make -f Makefile.cvs
make
sudo make install
On README, you'll find the necessary -devel packages for the building.
You'll need to have the new yast-ui installed. Not sure if this is already in
factory (check if you have /usr/include/YaST2/yui/YApplication.h to see if you
got it installed).
To build and install yast-ui:
svn checkout http://svn.opensuse.org/svn/yast/trunk/core yast-core
cd yast-core
make -f Makefile.cvs
cd libyui # only libyui broke ABI
make && sudo make install
This new libyui will break yast-ncurses and yast-qt. So, you'll want to have
yast2, yast2-core and yast2-gtk RPMs handy, to re-install them after you have
playing. Use "rpm --force" to force a re-install.
If you'd like to keep it, and have qt and ncurses working, just build those --
the process is the same as that of yast-gtk. To download them:
svn checkout http://svn.opensuse.org/svn/yast/trunk/gtk/unstable-libyui/ncurses
svn checkout http://svn.opensuse.org/svn/yast/trunk/gtk/unstable-libyui/qt
