Hi Johannes,
in the meantime I did a sudo zypper dup to final 11.3 and some other repos, but
the bug lasted. So I did what you suggested:
- remove X11:XOrg
- add Kernel:HEAD
- add home:jobermayr
- i´ve also controlled that /usr/lib*/dri/nouveau*.so are still deleted
The 2.6.35 rc5 works basicaly and so the newer nouveau drivers. But the
distortion still lasts! Additionaly I can´t turn on compositing :-/
And there is an even worse bug more: my good old crt is now running at 75hz
instead of the former 85hz and it is not possible to switch back. In kde
control center I can select 85hz but nothing happens. He even says that 85hz
are applied, but my eyes and the on-screen-menu of my crt don´t lie...it´s at
75hz. Not good for my eyes.... so I will have to switch back to my emergency
kernel-default 2.6.34...
Should I close this bug now and file the bug on bugs.freedesktop.org now?
Or may Oliver answer me now how he solved this within 2.6.34 via this
"shadowFB" option? Is it part of xorg.conf? in which section do I have to set
this? can you please paste your xorg.conf here?
Thanks, Thomas
