I can confirm this bug on DELL Latitude E4310 with BCM4313. I also can confirm
suggested solution by Ralf Neumann.
If kernel-firmware is not installed, the module brcmsmac fails to load firmware
(complaining in dmesg).
command "ip link set <wlan-device> up" never comes back during finalization of
installation. Also commands like "ifconfig" hanging forever.
I blacklisted modules (b43 and brcmsmac) to finalize installation and could
reproduce error in installed OS. After installation of kernel-firmware,
everthing works fine.
So, the question comes up, why kernel-firmware is not installed by default?
