Hi Daniel,
like I said I had a similar problem. If Windows can suspend without promblems,
Linux can also. You have to unload the driver before entering the suspend mode
and to reload it when powering up again.
Here are the scripts:
file: /etc/pm/sleep.d/unload_r8169
#!/bin/sh
/sbin/ifdown eth0
/sbin/modprobe -r r8169
file: /etc/pm/power.d/reload_r8169
#!/bin/sh
/sbin/modprobe r8169
/sbin ifup eth0
You have to run "chmod u+x /etc/pm/sleep.d/unload_r8169
/etc/pm/power.d/reload_r8169" of course to make them executeable. Try these
steps manually first.
1. ifdown eth0; modprobe -r r8169
2. enter suspend mode
3. power up
4. modprobe r8169; ifup eth0
Perhaps you'll have to force unloading by using modprobe -rf.
