Unfortunately I don't have a weekend for the very good osc tool right now, it
doesn't want to spit out a local copy of some public files (or do anything at
all) without whatever credentials, and nobody would like to give the one bit of
relevant info I asked for (the .spec file to start with, since for obvious
reasons the .nosrc.rpm is not available), so after rounds of unhelpful comments
I'm giving up.
For other punters in a similar position, it is possible to build an nvidia.ko
for the running kernel by starting up the NVIDIA-xxxxxxx.run file with
--no-x-check --no-distro-scripts -z -N -e --no-rpms
and continuing until it tests the new module, copying the created .ko file to a
safe place and then breaking the program when it wants to back up system files
and install new ones.
