because on my machine /usr/lib64/libGL.so.1 is a symbolic link to /usr/lib64/libGL.so.302.17 which is part of the NVIDIA installation.

No. I use NVIDIA for graphics/display. There is no other graphics card in my system. Should i disable glamor in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/05-glamor.conf?
