[Bug 1014999] Display freezes randomly on Leap 42.2 running KDE Plasma (plasmashell 5.8.x)

The common thread might be the Thinkpad video driver(s) in Leap 42.2. I've been using Leap 42.2 (KDE) on an HP ProBook 4430s for a couple of months now with no issues.
