Thanks for your reply, Fabian.
Interesting idea. Indeed, if I try your suggested command
strace -e trace=seccomp -e inject=seccomp:error=EINVAL
/usr/lib64/libexec/kscreenlocker_greet --testing
the screen lock does not crash and works without problems. strace produces this
output:
seccomp(SECCOMP_SET_MODE_STRICT, 1, NULL) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
(INJECTED)
seccomp(SECCOMP_SET_MODE_FILTER, 0, {len=61, filter=0x5567248f7740}) = -1
EINVAL (Invalid argument) (INJECTED)
--- SIGCHLD {si_signo=SIGCHLD, si_code=CLD_EXITED, si_pid=3406, si_uid=1020,
si_status=0, si_utime=0, si_stime=1} ---
+++ exited with 0 +++
See attachment for the complete output of the command.
Sorry, I don't know about the seccomp sandbox. Can I modify/configure it?
