I replaced my ifup-wireless script with the one from your attachment. But it
doesn't work. When I ran 'iwconfig' directly after boot, the 2nd line of my
wlan card info previously always showed:
'Access Point: Not Associated'.
Now with your script, the line shows:
'Access Point: Invalid'.
I looked at the two lines you added in the script, and they seem to be exactly
what needs to be done. I don't understand, why ifup-wireless causes the 'Access
Point: Invalid' situation, but if I run 'iwconfig wlan0 ap any' the card
associates with the AP without problems.
Could it be some timing issue? At the time when the ifup-wireless script is
executed, setting the AP to 'any' fails and causes the 'Invalid' situation. But
when try to setup the AP later on manually (when the system is completely up
and running) setting the AP to 'any' succeeds!?
