https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=461381 Summary: unable to start nfsserver with 11.1 Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jnelson-suse@jamponi.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I just did an upgrade of a machine running 11.0 to 11.1 I just upgraded all installed packages. Now, nfsserver won't start. The problem appears to be mountd. This is what I see on the console: turnip:~ # rpc.mountd -d all -F Cannot register service: RPC: Authentication error; why = Client credential too weak mountd: unable to register (mountd, 1, udp). And this is what is in /var/log/messages: Dec 21 19:28:38 turnip rpcbind: connect from 127.0.0.1 to unset(mountd): request from unauthorized host Dec 21 19:28:38 turnip mountd[21460]: unable to register (mountd, 1, udp). Dec 21 19:28:38 turnip rpcbind: connect from 127.0.0.1 to set(mountd): request from unauthorized host /etc/hosts.allow has: portmap: 127.0.0.0/24 192.168.2.0/24 statd: 127.0.0.0/24 192.168.2.0/24 lockd: 127.0.0.0/24 192.168.2.0/24 mountd: 127.0.0.0/24 192.168.2.0/24 What might be going on here? If I can't get a functional nfs server back up soon, I'm going to have to go back to 11.0. NOTE: This was a machine that was serving NFSv3 and v4 just fine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
