FYI: In LibreOffice 5.3.x it is possible to switch back to the old rendering engine which does still support/allow to use Type 1 fonts too. Options->LibreOffice/Advanced->Open Expert Configuration, change the property /org.openoffice.Office/Common/VCL/TextLayoutEngine to "old".
Attempted to use this workaround: - restored all my Postscript fonts to /usr/local/share/fonts; - fonts-config -f and fc-cache -f; - LibreOffice Writer picks up the Postscript fonts in the Font Selection menüs; - but, Writer doesn't display them in any existing document which was using them; - also not in a new document which uses them. --------------------------------------------------------- Resetting the VCL TextLayoutEngine parameter to "new" and reverting the Postscript fonts to OpenType, results in Writer displaying existing documents as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
