Anyway, Intel tells me that even if the kernel driver is updated, Xorg needs to use the experimental driver, which is not released, and does not support the older chips just yet (that's why it's not released). So I don't think this is going to be possible for 10.2, even if the kernel piece is here. Sorry. When I switch to SUSE Linux 10.1 the system has collapsed. When I turned on the computer, Linux tried to start but after some seconds the computer restarted itselfs and repeat this until I turned off. I have a Calcomp Drawingboard III connected over a USB adapter. I have never gotten this to work in linux so I thought I would just randomly give it a try. After connecting the USB the browser and email could no longer find the servers. The networking does not work. The shell scripts /opt/gnome/bin/gnome-reset and /opt/gnome/bin/gnome-reset-restore still contain /usr/bin/python /opt/gnome/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gnome-reset.py $@ resp. /usr/bin/python /opt/gnome/lib/python2.4/site-packages/gnome-reset-restore.py $@ but the Python scripts are now (correctly) in /usr and not /opt/gnome any more. Hack: "./configure --prefix=/usr --bindir=/opt/gnome/bin --datadir=/opt/gnome/share" instead of the above commit should work.
