The received error message is the following: ```/usr/bin/chroot /var/lib/tik/encrypt/mnt sdbootutil -vv --esp-path /boot/efi --no-variables install FAILED``` More detail in the provided tik.log file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run the installer for Aeon Desktop. 2. Confirm disk selection. 3. Wait until most of the install completes. Actual Results: The error message keeps appearing, making the installation unable to complete. Expected Results: Properly install. Is related to: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1231324 It seams to me, that the same bug occures still or again. Moreover, i was not able to rollback by pressing "space" during startup. When a package from the rings suddenly fails to build, it blocks packaging in staging, breaks other builds, and delays testing. This actually happened at the worst possible time, while the rings and staging were rebuilding. This is what I meant when I said it consumed a significant amount of time: there was the delay and the extra work of checking a bunch of things after. Patching libvirt for the SR was fast and trivial. I would have gladly contacted you to take care of it, but we're in different time zones :) All that said, this issue is very likely to happen again at the end of the year and the beginning of 2026, and the timing will be bad again, especially since the release team is smaller because of the holidays. So, what can we do to avoid this next year? I trust you as the maintainer to choose the best solution. The changes consist mostly in configuration adjustments for Wayland, a Qt6 only build and ripping out legacy code creating hard dependencies on xdm and update-alternatives. For the sake of simplicity I removed the subpackages. The build installs and works flawlessly on my laptop with a Slowroll Plasma Wayland installation, also with an external monitor connected. I am not a developer and my skills in writing spec files are very limited. This could be a starting point for somebody with better skills. Sddm-kalpa for Wayland in Factory is not intended for Tumbleweed/Slowroll.
