The situation decpicted in this screenshot shows expert partitioner for an exsting BTRFS filesystem/partition: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=876406 So there is a checkbox when mounting is selected, but it is not checked. See https://specifications.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/latest/#basics There is a single base directory relative to which user-specific runtime files and other file objects should be placed. This directory is defined by the environment variable $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR. So your application probably needs to run a (desktop or maybe UID specific) daemon and place runtime files somewhere. "su --login" nor "sudo" will not do it for you. I meant, of course, when using the option "import mount points" while keeping the checkbox "format system volumes" marked (which re-formats the root partition but keeps some sensible previous file-systems like /home).
