But since this request has been around for 4.5 years, and nobody considered it important enough to actually schedule it to a sprint, I don't think it's realistic to assume that this will change in the forseeable future. It's no longer possible to install TW on my model of the Surface. I haven't checked recently, but Kernel maintainers have been aware of the bug for years and have done nothing to solve it (there are many other reports). They've decided to ignore it.
