It only happens when using iptables v1.8.11 (nf_tables) not iptables v1.8.11 (legacy). To reproduce this issue I had to do the following: > sudo iptables-legacy -F > sudo iptables-legacy -X > sudo iptables -F > sudo iptables -X > sudo systemctl restart docker > docker run --rm alpine ping -c 4 1.1.1.1 The result was: > PING 1.1.1.1 (1.1.1.1): 56 data bytes > --- 1.1.1.1 ping statistics --- > 4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss The current workaround is to remove iptables-backend-nft, reset iptables rules, and restart Docker. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I tried a "clean" start by removing all my compose stacks, stopping docker, flushing the FORWARD and the related DOCKER-* Chains , starting docker and re-upping the stacks - the rules are still incomplete and the DROP-Counter of FORWARD increases. You can also reset all iptables rules to get rid of possible corrupted rules, but be aware that this resets everything, I recommend backing up any rules before you proceed. If you are in a ssh session you can get locked out if you reset iptables. A backup or snapshot is recommended to not lose any data before you proceed. Here is my system swap status after booting with plymouth disabled and not plugging in the FIDO2 key, which avoids the issue since the system falls back to password immediately. In this case I only have to enter my password once to unlock both the root and swap partitions. The wifi interface I'm using requires the firmware file rtl8723bs_nic.bin.xz in /lib/firmware/rtlwifi which in turn is a link to rtl8723bu_nic.bin.xz present in the same directory. In the initrd installation image (https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.6/repo/oss/boot/x86_64/l…) in the squashfs file parts/00_lib the directory lib/firmware/rtlwifi contains the firmware file rtl8723bu_nic.bin.xz but the soft link rtl8723bs_nic.bin.xz is missing. If it were present, I would be able to use the wifi interface to perform the installation (tested). Can the soft links be added in the squashfs image containing the firmware files?
