To fix this issue, I have added a patch to the SeaMonkey 2.53.17.1 packages provided by the mozilla/seamonkey package on OBS: <https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/mozilla/seamonkey>. Sidenote: When you do a normal (interactive) installation of openSUSE up to version Leap 15.1 the hostname is random: starting with linux- and followed by 4 random letters like linux-akec.
