That is, it's no longer 1:1 mapping at all. Particularly, snd-hda-intel might be a wrong choice of the module on many modern Intel platforms that have the audio DSP. Those are replaced with SOF driver, and SOF driver requires to be bound with the proper ASoC codec drivers. The last two years everything worked fine and perfect with Leap 15.2 and finally 15.3. Last weekend I did the dist-upgrade to Leap 15.4 and now the internal speakers doesn't work any more. Similar to the microphone bug: It's working perfect with an external headset that bring its own USB soundcard, but with the onboard sound system the microphone is working, but the speakers are not.
