After that ther is the login promt again. course of events: He comes with kernel (or update) 5.19.12.xxx to which tumbleweed updated on october the 4th. Update on 05.10. with Kernel 5.19.13.xxx brings no luck. Exact the bug as descriped here in the thread. But the best is: Updating on 06.10.22 to Kernel 6.0.0.1 broke the automatic login i had and i got a tty01 on screen with our bug. System not accesable. actual system after rollback: Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20221003 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 Kernel Version: 5.19.13-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 24 � AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core Processor Memory: 31.2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030/PCIe/SSE2 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. on boot 2. on reeboot 3. on ctrl-alt-F1 to F6 Actual Results: giving user password on tty 01 to 06 ends with no chance to give the password and the message apperars three times: Login incorrect. (This applies both to trying to launch an entire desktop session, or to simply running an individual application.) Trying to do so always results in an error message such as the following: xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :153 Further details: * The problem affects X2Go servers on openSUSE Tumbleweed only. It's still possible for X2Go clients on Tumbleweed to connect to servers running on openSUSE Leap. * There is no problem running X11 applications directly via ssh. * There is likewise no problem running headless shell scripts via X2Go. It's only when launching a graphical application that the problem occurs. * If I boot from a read-only snapshot from 2022-04-26, everything works fine again. * At the time the problem occurred I was using a development version of X2Go from September 2021. (It had been working fine since that date.) The problem persisted after upgrading to the latest development version of X2GO from June 2022: <https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/psych0naut:/x2go/openSUSE_…> Steps to reproduce: 1. Install ssh, xterm, and a reasonably recent versions of the X2Go client and server: <https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/psych0naut:/x2go/openSUSE_…> 2. Create a shell script $HOME/bin/hello with the following contents: ``` #!/bin/sh /usr/bin/xterm >&/tmp/xterm.errors ``` 3. Launch the X2Go client and create a new session with the following settings, substituting your username for USERNAME: * Host: localhost * Login: USERNAME * Session type: Single application * Command: /home/USERNAME/bin/hello 4. Launch the session you just created. Observed behaviour: 1. A "Connecting" message appears in the X2Go window. Then after a few moments, a "New session started" notification appears. Then you are returned to the main X2Go client window. In the file /tmp/xterm.errors, the following error message appears: "xterm: Xt error: Can't open display: :153" Expected behaviour: 1.
