Other applications like glxspheres or google-earth-pro do not show this issue. Difference *might* be that the game is a 32bit application. I had reported it upstream (https://github.com/VirtualGL/virtualgl/issues/139) but they claim it's a packaging issue. Indeed, slapping together their official i386 and x64 rpms and installing them manually does not produce the above error, it works both with vglrun and optirun (using the NVidia core of my Optimus). I'm watching the "Last Modified" timestamps visible here: http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/15.2/oss/repodata/ and they are updating every few minutes. Obviously the repository meta-data shouldn't be regenerated that often. I'm sure the mirrors are creating a bunch of extra traffic due to this as well. By installing the flatpak package from tumbleweed (version 1.0.5) in Leap 15 works out of the box, without issues, and making possible to install VLC.
