There's need to magic number in MBR/GPT/etc. This is my/new idea about configure each installed system to use separate partition to use it as installation destination of flatpaks. If we try to realize this idea, we must force/ask each distribution to implement similar feature. Instead of use separate partition, we could use some path in root fs, but that's not make sense. I only wrote about this as option to show, there's no need for special FS or label in MBR/GPT. Use case: 1. I install OpenSUSE. In installation process, I select /dev/sdb1 as flatpak partition. I install Freeciv using flatpak. Next I install Arch Linux. In installation process, I can select /dev/sdb1 as flatpak partition (or Arch Installer detect this partition). I can now use Freeciv both on OpenSUSE and Arch Linux. 2. I install Arch Linux. I select /dev/sdc2 as flatpak partition. I install Freeciv. Then I decided Arch is too hard to use and decided to switch to Fedora. I select, or Anaconda detect, /dev/sdc2 as flatpak partition. I order Fedora to remove Arch Linux. I don't lost Freeciv installation.
