Which should fix the fundamental problem with the daemon. Is this still an issue after the version update? From the time stamp of the ticket, the new version was already out. The problem with the applet I am aware of. there is an alternative in hardware/usbguard-notifier, which I did not find the time to test yet. Which is the reason why I did not push it anywhere else.
