This change is supposed to allow Xvnc to verify user passwords via PAM. However, the pam_unix module is using /sbin/unix*chkpwd to verify passwords. And these utilities are installed setuid-root (see also related bug 1162950). So I don't actually see why the vnc user needs to be a member of the shadow group. I you don't know of a good reason to keep this membership, can you please remove the according logic from the spec file? Furthermore, do you happen to know why Xvnc is installed by default on e.g. Tumbleweed? It seems that the installation-images does BuildRequire it. I can understand that e.g. the installer media might need this package to allow installation from the network. But why does it need to be installed on the target machine?
