When a new sound is played, it is added to the loop but old ones stay there. I suspected KDE components first (quitting the KDE session helps) but now KDE package was updated around the time the issue started manifesting. After some more experiments, I found that killing pipewire is sufficient. And indeed, there was an update of pipewire to version 0.3.6-lp152.2.3.1 this Monday. Unfortunately I cannot uninstall libpipewire too as other packages, including firefox and chromium, depend on it and are linked against it. In any case, uninstalling pipewire* with --nodeps does not break sound in firefox and chromium so reverting the hard dependency of libpipewire on pipewire would be an easy quick fix - and it also shows that the hard "Require" dependency is not really appropriate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
