In the initial state (Screenshot-1) the wanted version is already pre-selected in the versions tab, but the icon against the package indicates "Keep". If "Accept" is clicked at this stage nothing is done and Software Management closes. To install the wanted version it is necessary to first select one of the retracted packages (Screenshot-2) and then select the wanted package (Screenshot-3), now the icon indicates "Update" and upon clicking "Accept" the package is installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

But this covers only about the modprobe "FATAL" error messages. What about the rest?
