However, this process (instigated by /usr/lib/systemd/system/vboxdrv.service) fails as a function is missing (?) from the script /usr/lib/virtualbox/vboxdrv.sh. Alternatively sometimes a distorted menu does show up on the secondary screen, e.g. all entries in one single line one after another instead of entries below each other. The menus are still present as one can invisibly select entries e.g. using the cursor keys but the menus are just not visible as in outside the visible screen area. I could reproduce the issue in awesome WM same as in i3wm. Removed code was added as extern int working_recverr in iputils-ss010805 (searching in old tarballs).
