SUSE traditionally used "nfsserver" and "nfs" for these, and yast2 still uses these names. nfs-utils for suse provides gateway services (nfs.service and nfsserver.service) which attempts to allow the old names to work transparently, but this is error prone and not a good long term solution. It would be good to deprecate the old names and standardize on the upsrteam names. One part of this is to change yast2-nfs-server and yast2-nfs-client to use the new names. When the browser window initially appears, it is completely blank. Widgets (buttons, pull-down menus, the location bar, the progress bar, etc.) do not get drawn until the mouse passes over them or until the entire browser window is manipulated in some way, such as by dragging or lowering. Even then, the widgets tend to flicker or disappear. The rendering of the web page has similar problems -- it doesn't appear at all at first, and when it finally does appear, it is very glitchy. Due to this limitation a workaround was added in the X server [1] so the server exits as soon as it detects logind was stopped or restarted. However since v234, logind saves/reloads the fds before/after restarting so the revocation logic continue to work properly. Therefore the workaround [1] mentioned above is no more needed. However it's still not clear what should be done if logind is stopped completely. It's being discussed here [2]. This bug was opened so this issue is not lost on our side. Yesterday I installed Leap 15.0 from openSUSE-Leap-15.0-DVD-x86_64-Build161.1-Media.iso. Then I installed all necessary libraries for the IBM Notes Client 9.0.1 and then the client itself. There was a warning during the installation, when I installed Fixpack3. When I start the IBM Notes Client 9.0.1, it crashes. I tried to start it before and after the installation of Fixpack3. Same result. With Leap 42.3 everything is fine and working correctly. Find attached: 2018-03-16 Notes-Install-Libraries.log ---> Logfile of the library-installation 2018-03-16 Notes-Installation.log ---> Logfile of the notes-installation, including a warning. 2018-03-16 Notes-Start.log ---> Starting the client before the installation of Hotfix3. 2018-03-16 Notes-Start_2.log ---> Starting the client after the installation of Hotfix3. On 2017-06-09 I reported a similar bug (ID 1043519), when installing and starting the IBM Notes Client 9.0-1 on Tumbleweed, but I never got a reaction on that report. After such a crash, the BDB environment is often reported as needing recovery (we only use skiplist DBs, but BDB gets initialized nonetheless) As far as we can tell, there's no interruption of service associated with these crashes.
