I have to say that I'm confused about the actual scope locations of the ADDREF and REMOVE but if you confirmed it to work. A new version is currently building in the mozilla repo. Resulting version should be >= 57.0.3 (currently there still is 57.0.1 in that repo). Also, try to boot with nomodeset option to check whether the freeze is the graphics driver issue. How to do it? When you see this textmode installation failed, you can use alt+arrowleft/right or alt+f2 which moves you to console and from console you can call save_y2logs which create tarball and then store this tarball in USB or send it from console e.g. with scp command. Rollbacking to a snapshot before that one restores sound. `top` reports high CPU usage for pulseaudio (~50%) and X11 (~95 to 100%). Pulseaudio cannot be killed except with a SIGKILL at which point X11 calms down too. `strace` on the running pulseaudio process seems to indicate that it is in some kind of loop (see attachment). `journalct -t pulseaudio` yields the following: Jan 02 13:51:47 linux-0yez pulseaudio[2620]: [pulseaudio] alsa-mixer.c: Volume element Speaker has 8 channels. The error occurs on two different systems of mine (others don't use oS) with no overlapping hardware so far.
