The issue doesn't happen on Leap 42.3 and TW. So some package upgrade already fixed the issue, as it seems. Maybe Mesa. I haven't tested 42.3 yet, but the problem with yast2-live-installer only occurred on 42.2, not Tumbleweed. So I only had to apply my little hack to the GeckoLinux images based on 42.2.
