We will watch out that this will not happen in the new one, too. But I don't think we can spare the resources to fix this pretty complex scenario in the old code as well. Just a wild guess: There are three prompts for encryption passwords in the logs; that means you are using three different passwords for those encrypted devices. I suspect that it might get confused if there are many of those encrypted devices, and all (or at least most) of them are activated during installation, and then you do stuff in the expert partitioner. Here is what I did: - Fresh installation with a plain partition (no LVM) ext4 root - Created an encrypted ext4 partition as /data - Executed installation - New installation - Entered password for the encrypted partition when prompted - In the storage proposal, changed proposal settings to plain partition ext4 as root - Went into the expert partitioner - Selected that encrypted partition, clicked "edit", then "do not format", "mount at /data" - Confirmed and performed installation -> no error, worked as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I shouldn't have to do this as these packages should be installed by default in a modern desktop environment that can compete with Windows. The options for such thumbnails should also be enabled in Dolphin out-of-the-box under Dolphin Preferences -> General -> Previews.
