Than, when you try to install packages with YaST, you get some complicate error messages like Subprocess failed. Error: RPM fallido: error: db4 error(-30987) from dbcursor->c_get: DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND: Requested page not found error: error(-30987) setting "System/Libraries" records from Group index error: db4 error(-30987) from dbcursor->c_get: DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND: Requested page not found error: error(-30987) getting "System/Libraries" records from Group index or Subprocess failed. Error: RPM fallido: error: db4 error(-30987) from dbcursor->c_get: DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND: Requested page not found error: error(-30987) getting "" records from Requireversion index Executing 'rpm --rebuilddb' fixes the problem, but that's not user friendly. It would be great if libzypper could the this automatically when it notices that there are problems with the RPM database. The installation process worked fine. However, in both cases the installer created an install plan that reserved only 10 GB of space for the system's (encrypted) root partition -- leaving some ~450 GB of available disk space unused. That choice seems odd to me. I realize that it's a good idea to have some free space available on an LVM-managed disk so that people can create additional partitions, performs snapshots, etc. From that point of view, I think it's fine that the root partition didn't take up *all* the remaining disk space despite the fact that I chose the "use the entire disk" option. However, allocating only 10 GB for the root disk seems way too conservative, and I reckon that many users will not be happy with that default (like myself). My suggestion would be to implement behavior in the installer that works the other way round: rather than allocating a default partition that's minimal and trust that people will enlarge it when required, I'd rather see the installer create a root partition that's maximal and trust that people will shrink it if they want additional volumes in the /system group. So there is no ethernet, bluetooth and so on. I think it would be the same if you have some USB stick for network connection. When I start Firefox in the offline mode of the laptop and switch it online afterwards, Firefox doesn't recognize the available network connections or network interfaces. It shows the error page that the server at domain example.com could not be found. I've to quit and start Firefox again to get it work. The ping tool on console has no problem in the meantime. If the laptop has been in online mode during start of Firefox I can put it offline/online as much as I'd like. This doesn't harm Firefox. Maybe it doesn't recognize a change in the network interfaces. So to say if you would have different network interface cards and switch. But this I couldn't test. At least if you have only the local interface during start of Firefox and add another network interface for Internet connection later on, Firefox will not recognize this and can not use it.
