Opening a PDF file in ThunderBird, FireFox, Files or xdg-open always uses gimp. The global config file /etc/gnome_defaults.conf is ignored, I think this file tries to set evince as default. The loss of input controls are likely caused by GDM or X trying to take over keyboard and mouse, but immediately quit due to GDM crash. It can be rebuild in SLES12SP1. since the default "udevrulesdir" of Makefile.in will be explain as "/lib/udev" in SP1, while in Leap/openSUSE is "/usr/lib/udev". So not necessary to move. I can change it in SUSE:SLE-12-SP1:Update, although it actually did nothing in 12SP1.
