It does find the printer, but under KDE some kind of "helper" screen (apper related maybe?) appears with an error. (See attachment #1) Then, after dismissing the error, system-config-printer gets stuck at "searching for drivers". (See attachment #2) At this point, it gets stuck. I have let it sit there for 5 minutes on a very fast computer, and I have very few drivers installed (no Gutenprint or HPLIP) so it definitely should not be searching for long. When running system-config-printer as root in IceWM, the KDE "helper" error dialog doesn't appear. But it still gets stuck on "searching for drivers". Some investigation shows that I (first user) was at vt:8 instead of the default vt:7. When I logged in as another KDE user, I found that she was at vt:7.... On the forums, a more expert user suggested that Plymouth may be the cause, so I booted with plymouth.enable=0 and sure enough, the 'seats' were allocated as normal. I have a few remote locations (sftp://) bookmarked in nautilus so that they show up in the Sidebar with my other (local) bookmarks. However, if I mount any of these remote locations, then close and start nautilus window, I see that each bookmarked remote location is shown multiple times (three times usually). Trying to unmount any of them shows the "volume is busy, Unmount anyway" prompt and unmounting only happens either on a) Clicking on "Unmount anyway" in the prompt or b) waiting for some time. Previously (nautilus 3.12) unmounting would happen without such fuss, as I suppose it should. I am using opensuse 13.1 as my host system with VirtualBox 4.3.18 2. Installed opensuse 13.2 RC1 with GNOME desktop as virtualbox guest (either from DVD or GNOME Live disk) 3. After reboot graphical desktop does not show up. Just blank screen. Other details - System booted fine. If I switch to text terminal (Right Ctrl+ F2) I can see the prompt and all commands work fine. - When I freshly installed again with KDE desktop, everything worked fine. I can see the graphical desktop. Workaround : - Goto text terminal (Right Ctrl+ F2) - Uninstall the pre-installed virtualbox guest tools rpms (virtualbox-guest-tools and virtualbox-guest-x11) - Compile and install the guest tools from VirtualBox guest addition available with the VirtualBox installation. - Reboot and things work fine.
