All machines using nfsv3. Once a machine generate this error, the machine will NOT be usable. You cannot use the console, when you try to ssh, it will hang after you enter your password. The idea is to have regular expressions and color whatever matches. For instance, it would be useful to color red everything starting with "ERROR" and "CRIT" (nowadays aka "error" and "crit"). It should be configurable, i.e. let the user add regex-color mapping to a file. It is important to reset back to the initial color at the end of the match, so we need to keep track of the current color on the line. It'd be good to allow more than eight colors we currently have. The audit service isn't (currently) mandatory. Without audit service running, the kernel will send any audit messages it receives (login notifications from pam for example) to the kernel log. We can certainly discuss whether services should be mandatory and what dependencies they have but to me, the question is why - post install - the default loglevel is set to 7.
