So I have a picture of a UTP connector in the system tray from the applet-networkmanagement. Regularly, about once per minute, I see a red square with a white cross appear in the icon, followed by a red circle with a slanted bar through it, followed by a white bar at the bottom. Having a ping to the router running in a console in the VM, I miss 2 or 3 pings with the error message: ping: sendmsg: Network is unreachable The network for the VM is set in bridge mode. The network supports both IPv4 and IPv6. During the installation I had a quite normal screen. However after the installation and starting an Xfce session the screen resolution is 600x480. In Windows XP the resolution was 1024x768, but could be made higher. Searching for a solution I found information suggesting the use of openchrome, so I installed xf86-video-openchrome. However this gives no signal to the display. I also tried the version 3.3 from openSUSE Build with the same problem. First the delay time of 1 and 2 are long resp. 2003 and 1003 ms. The time which Wireshark shows is however 213.5 ms and 999.9 ms. the delay time of 3 according to Wireshark is 1000.4 ms and 4 is 1000.3 and 5 is 257.3 Only 6 and further pings have delay times of 0.3 ms However 10 is missing in the output of ping6, but Wireshark shows a delay of only 0.3 ms. 14 and 15 are missing, but are present in Wireshark 16 show a delay of .414 ms, however Wireshark shows 1000.2 ms 17, 18 and 19 have according to Wireshark delay times of about 1000 ms 20 has 257.3 ms When I do the same to a Linux system in my network, ping does not report lost messages. I did not check the delay times. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: None lost packages reported. Proper delay times. However the log about the routing table does not show the IPv6 routing table. I assume the command "ip -r" generates the log file. However the output of "ip -6 r" should be appended to this log file. This was not possible. I used the "Other" button and "Propose and Merge with Existing GRUB Menus" from the dropdown menu. The result was only items from the 12.1 M5 system. Actual Results: A dialog appears saying that the file already exists, and asks whether to overwrite it, rename it or cancel. This dialog doesn't show anything except for the file name. Expected Results: It should show file metadata, such as file size.
