The file gets copied up to the % in size and then hangs, it will never complete. Tested with one large file at a time, not simultaneous multiple files to transfer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Login SLES SP3 and install hypervfcopyd 2. Enable "Guest services" integration services from hyperv manager 3. service hypervfcopyd start and make sure hypervfcopyd service is running 4. Login server 2012 R2 host and COPY-VMFILE large-file(larger than 1G) to guest 5. Check guest and host log Actual Results: Fcopy about %4 and hung up no log appear until display "timeout period expired" exception in host Expected Results: It should copy large file from host to guest correctly The fix is submitted to kernel community and accepted by Greg's tree. I tried login to Gnome this morning. The Gnome session did not fully start. I was left with a blank gray screen. The system has Intel graphics (Haswell). I tried deleting (actually moving) all startup files. Still the same failure. I switch the login GUI from "lightdm" to "gdm". However, "gdm" fails to fully start, leaving me with a blank gray screen. I downloaded the live Gnome snapshot for 20140620, and booted from that (on a USB). I ended up with a blank gray screen. I tried the same live Gnome USB on a different computer (nVidia graphics), and it booted up fine though probably would not have worked very well without the nVidia driver. I then tried the same live Gnome USB on my laptop with Intel Arrandale graphics. I ended up with a blank gray screen. Incidentally, KDE, Icewm and twm all work fine on the system with Intel Haswell. On one of my Gnome tests, I connected locally (with ssh from another box), and ran "top". There did not seem to be anything looping. Maybe even active window loses focus, but window frame does not shows this (window header remains to look active). For example: when I press ctrl+shift here to switch keyboard layout, when writing this description, yellow frame disappears from text input box, text caret disappears too; they appear again when releasing ctrl+shift. The same occurs in all other programs, i.e. terminal. It causes serious annoyance, for example in Twitter when losing focus in Reply text box, reply rolls up and I have to click it again with mouse and set caret to correct place each time I switch keyboard layouts. Other key combinations, not only ctrl+shift, also cause this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open for example gedit 2. Press Ctrl+S 3. Press Create Folder button 4. Try to change keyboard layout or volume up/down 5. Focus will be removed from new folder, folder will not be created Actual Results: Focus is removed from new folder, folder will not be created. Expected Results: Layout changed, folder name is on desired layout, folder is created and named as user wants. That feature is good. Do you want to search for this now? Continue Cancel" Basically, in this way: 1. You have no idea of what is missing. Because it's now foreign to everyone. 2. _seems_ (I'm not sure) gst-install-plugins-helper will just search for the "ID3 ljljl" line in PackageKit database. That is, system may doesn't know what is missing either. Because I choose to continue everytime and everytime I get nothing, even sometimes I myself knows what is missing... So my idea is, we should check this: 1. Check if the helper just search the displayed thing in database, or give it an advanced match then search the matched package name in database. Because if the helper just search the displayed thing. Then we shouldn't expose them to our translators. After translation, system will certainly not know what it's going for now. But if it'll do an advanced match in the background, we should check: 2. if the match can be done in i18n, if it can't, again we shouldn't expose those strings. But if it can, we should check: 3. What's wrong with our GUI, because it can't display translated text well. seems there's an encoding problem out there.
