Your work on Packman goes more in to the direction of preparing daily tarballs of a moving git target. If this is what you want to present to the users of openSUSE, then I am fine with it and we can drop this package on openSUSE and start assigning all the bugs regarding k3b to you. The only correct way forward is that you agree that the k3b package is maintained on openSUSE OBS and that packman is just building with additional functionality (preferably as an add-on package). This effectively would mean that packman will just contain a link to the k3b package and will only be changed through openSUSE. If you agree, then I will update the package in KDE:Extra to the 2.0.80 version and recreate the k3b package on Packman so that it links to the package on openSUSE OBS. In the spec-file I will create the necessary structure to facilitate building in two places (We already have this for other packages (e.g. vlc, chromium, etc) So the choice is yours as that this would mean that you loose maintainership of the K3B package on Packman -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I made it possible to build k3b without the required helper to make a inclusion possible. The current situation is that we have the latest official release of k3b (which is 2.0.2) in KDE:Extra and in openSUSE:Factory/13.2. On Packman we have a git snapshot of about 5 days ago. As long as packman is utilizing git snapshots, then this issue would remain and users will find a crippled version that they can not be enhanced by using the package from Packman. So I would even say that the issue is on the Packman side and that the version there should track what openSUSE is delivering so that users can have the right experience. Okt 12:16 /var/run/ntp -> /var/lib/ntp/var/run/ntp and ntpd works even without the rule added (factory last updated 2014-09-29) Nevertheless, I agree that we should add /{,var/}run/ntp/ntpd.pid w, to the ntpd profile. As always previously, I select Norwegian as primary language and added English (US) as secondary language, Gnome as default desktop and added the KDE software pattern, all during the initial installation. For Factory this cause "permanently" wrong English keyboard layout at Console login (ctrl+alt+f1) and correct Norwegian kb layout at Gnome desktop session gui and also for su to root in Gnome terminals. To add confusing, a seldom time it happends randomly to be Norwegian characters at Console login or English in Gnome, the latter also while the Gnome Kb applet shows it should be Norwegian. The Norwegian keyboard layout has worked and works flawlessly for both Console and Gnome sessions on 13.1/Tumbleweed on the same hardware. As I still have both 13.1/Tw and 13.2 in dual-boot on the same machines, I have now compared the content of configuration files as follows (here with stripped away most comments). As seen below, there is one differense between the two /etc/sysconfig/keyoard files (13.1) KEYTABLE="no-latin1.map.gz" (13.2) KEYTABLE="" Empty is the default (us). I added "no-latin1.map.gz" also to the 13.2 file using the YaST2 /etc/sysconfig editor, rebooted but with no change. Still English kb at Console login.
