Recently, this has started opening Seamonkey, which does not provide the man info. The same problem happens with ## for info. If I open Konqueror, I can then enter #<command> for the URL and the appropriate man page is displayed. My default browser is Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Press Alt-F2 2.Enter #<command> 3.Konqueror should open with the man page. Actual Results: Instead of Konqueror opening and displaying the man page, Seamonkey opens to a blank page. Upgrading to 12.3 gives a very ugly "Invalid URL" screen. Instead, there should at least be a bit of HTML saying: "SysInfo has been replaced by KInfoCentre", and a button to launch it. (This is why we lose users at every distro upgrade. Because trusted stuff suddenly stops working without reasonable warning or info, and the dumb end user is left staring blankly at his own monitor, cursing open-source software, and wanting Windows back.) One way to reproduced it is to setup a map with 10 or more direct mounts. These volumes must be hosted at the same NFS server. So lets say we have /autofs-race/dir{1,2,3,4...} and each volume has a file named 'file'. The root cause of this problem is that AutoFS uses getprotobyname() (a non-reentrant function) in multiple threads without synchronization. There's a patch available already.
