Looking on opensuse template it is obvious the device node creation code is missing. It seems to cause this lxc-create error (see bnc#804232 for details) Copying rootfs to /var/lib/lxc/tomcat/rootfs ...Please change root-password ! chpasswd: PAM: Authentication failure where -t debian ends with Root password is 'root', please change I wanted to fix that, but once I've downloaded lxc package, it become clear that this has been intentionally removed by lxc-opensuse-12.2.patch. But this change is against the ContainerInterface [1] for systemd stating """ Also, make sure to create device nodes for /dev/null, /dev/zero, /dev/full, /dev/random, /dev/urandom, /dev/tty, /dev/ptmx in /dev """ neither is described in lxc.changes, please consider reverting of it back. I notice the following line of code if (!(is = popen("/bin/netstat -tnp 2> /dev/null", "r"))) but I fail to notice a matching call to pclose at the end of the routine. This looks like a resource leak to me. Also Kmix show me this device and the slide control for this. If I reboot the system with plugged sound card, USB device will not shown in Kmix anymore and webcam microphone is extremely quiet or silent. System detect USB device after reboot. During reboot I get the following error message: ALSA mixer.c:867 2:1: cannot get min/max values for control 2 (id 2) If I plug out USB sound card, tell system to save not settings for this device, and plug in device again, Kmix show me this device again too. I'm using alsa, pulse audio is not installed.
